PVB laminated glass

PVB is the most common interlayer used around the world in laminated glass make ups.  It is a primary interlayer for architectural glass and automotive glass.

Two or three layers of glass "sandwiched" together with clear or colored PVB interlayer,

laminated glass is the one glass that reconciles the aesthetic benefits of glass with a genuine concern for safety;

Offering superior protection against glass breakage, as well as harmful solar rays and hazardous noise levels.

PVB has good safety, sound insulation, transparency and UV resistance, but PVB has poor water resistance, and it is easy to delaminated when it is in a humid environment for a long time.

Globalstar standard PVB laminated glass make ups combined with annealed glass such as; 6.38/8.38/10.38/12.38mm allow glass processors and glaziers to cut the glass after lamination. This range is extremely popular for urgent glass repairs that require A Grade safety glass replacement.

EVA laminated glass

EVA 's cost performance is higher. Compared with PVB and SGP, EVA has better fluidity, lower melting temperature and can be processed at temperatures up to 110 °C.

EVA has a good fluidity of the film layer, and can be subjected to a process such as wire drawing and engraving in the film layer to produce a beautiful decorative glass with a pattern and a pattern. EVA has good water resistance, but its UV resistance is weak. It is easy to yellow and black in long-term sun exposure, so it is mainly used for indoor partitions

SGP laminated glass

SGP is called the ionic interlayer film , SGP is 100 times more rigid and 5 times more resistant to tearing when comparing to PVB.

When frameless, laminated glass applications are required externally such as; balustrades & canopies, the SGP interlayer is a superior selection due to its ability to withstand weather conditions and resist moisture where other laminates cannot.

SGP laminated glass is colorless and transparent, anti-ultraviolet. After long-term sun and rain, it is not easy to turn yellow, and the yellowing coefficient is less than 1.5. However, the yellowing coefficient of PVB interlayer film is 6~12. Therefore, SGP is the darling of ultra-white laminated glass.

Although the production process of SGP is close to PVB, the terminal price is high.
